Off on holiday

Well, I thought that going on holiday would escape this UK weather but hearing that we are supposed to have a heatwave whilst I am away is a little bit annoying but I'm still so excited to go and so excited that I thought I would show you what I'm taking and some little tricks whilst packing.

  • Tip Number 1
Make sure you have got all the clothes you want to take washed before you go or start packing.

a) because your suitcase won't smell as there is nothing worse than opening your suitcase up to a horrible smell.
b) so that you can arrange your case without having to worry about adding clothes in at the end so that there is no creased clothes from slotting in newly washed clothes.

  • Tip Number 2
Have a list

I'm the kind of girl who loves a good checklist so holidays are no exception and usually a few days before I create a good thorough checklist and even make it look pretty so that it makes me feel good. Plus with a list unless you have forgotten it on the list you won't forget anything.

  • Tip Number 3
Saving space- Underwear in shoes

Before thinking about adding big clothing items into zip lock bags think about the smaller things like underwear which can pretty easily fit in your shoes so to save that little extra bit of space put you underwear in your shoes then move on to tip 4.

  • Tip Number 4
Organise your clothes into outfits and a few extra pieces then grab a zip lock bag fit each outfit in and lean on it to get the air out then pack it. Obviously if you have any pieces of clothing that will get creased more easily then don't scrunch them into a bag but this tip is handy for those no crease able clothes.

  • Tip Number 5
Charge all electronics beforehand

This tip is an obvious one really but I though I would use this post as a sort of checklist as well so you don't forget anything. Or take a portable charger if you have one they are only cheap but can be quite powerful.

  • Tip Number 6
Make-up travellers always end up with one thing cracking so my tip for you is to put a cotton wool pad in between the product and the lid of it this protects your product to prevent it being damaged.

  • Tip Number 7
Wear your heavy items

If your like me and like to pack a lot with a small weight restriction like 15kg its hard to stick to the weight but if you wear your most heavy clothes on the way they are then not weighed so could make your suitcase lighter. Especially with big shoes.

  • Tip Number 8
 Put a towel on top

The first thing everyone wants to do when they get there is jump in the pool or go to the beach so putting a towel on top allows you to easily get to it but it doesn't just have to be towels swimming costumes flip flops. You get the idea.

  • Tip Number 9
Remember if you leave anything you are most likely to be able to get it in duty free
This is especially good for toiletries as you can sometimes get pulled up in security for toiletries when in hand luggage so when you know that you can get them in Boots all is ok.

  • Tip Number 10

Keep all valuables in hand luggage, and make sure you take your essentials e.g. passport boarding pass

Happy Holidays Lovelies
